Giles Christopher (Hercules) McDonald passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving parents on March 16, 2013, after a brave, four-day fight in the Providence Hospital NICU. He was surrounded in love by all of his family members and friends that were with him during his fight. His family will forever hold him in their hearts and celebrate him, feeling his presence while hiking the mountains and fields surrounding Palmer, skiing and snowboarding at Arctic Valley, and while fishing the Kenai River. Giles is survived by his parents, Norman McDonald and Kelly (Cravens) McDonald of Palmer, Alaska; by his loving 10 yr old sister, Alexa McDonald; his grandmother Rhonda Cravens of Eagle River, Alaska; his grandparents Giles and Jeannette McDonald of Palmer, Alaska; his uncle and aunt Christopher and Darcie Cravens of Anchorage, Alaska; his uncle and aunt Scott McDonald and Ashley Vanhemert of Anchorage, Alaska and cousin Cormac; and grandparents Michael and Linda Cravens of Sikeston, Missouri. His parents would like to thank all of the amazing staff at the Providence Hospital NICU for the help and support they provided.
