Gladys Marie Neill, 80, died December 28, 2013, at home in Eagle River due to complications of Advanced Alzheimer's.

Service will be held Thursday, January 2nd at 12:30 p.m. with burial to follow at Ft. Richardson National Cemetery.
Marie was born August 6, 1933 in Bladenboro, North Carolina, to Leroy Zach Price and Mary Belle Bowles Price. Marie met her husband-to-be Ralph Neill, at church. They married on July 9, 1949. Being a military wife Marie lived in a number of cities before arriving in Alaska, in July 1974, settling in Ft. Wainwright, where her husband was stationed with the Army. She began her career as a sales associate with J. C Penney Company in August 1974 and retiring from Penney's in Anchorage in 1995. While with J. C. Penney Company, Marie earned many awards for her outstanding customer service and sales achievements. She loved to sew, winning many awards for her beautiful garments. She enjoyed growing beautiful flowers, fishing (out fishing the men in the family) and spending time with her family and grandkids. Marie was a very caring, compassionate person with a love for life, her Lord and Savior, family and friends. She was always there to lend a caring hand to family and friends. Marie and her husband enjoyed traveling in their motorhome to visit many of our countries beautiful, historical sites.
Marie is survived by her husband Ralph; daughters Judy Neill-Stahancyk and Linda Parsons; sons Tommy (Monika) Neill and James (Donna) Neill. Grand-children, Kristopher and Reven Wood, David, Katherine, Stephanie Neill. Great-grand-children Cierra Buntz, Vivianne, Alana and Noah Wood.
