Lifelong Alaskan resident Harry "Leo" Larionoff, 62, passed away of natural causes in Anchorage, Alaska, on July 10, 2017.
A funeral service will be held at the Anchorage Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at 1 p.m., with a public viewing at 11 a.m. Father John Zabinko of St. Innocents Orthodox Church will be officiating.
Leo was born in Akhiok, Alaska, on Jan. 10, 1955, to Kalumpi and Matrona Larionoff. After graduating from high school, Leo joined the Alaska National Guard, while working hard as a professional fisherman in Akhiok, Old Harbor, Kodiak and Anchorage, Alaska.
Leo's family has stated that, "he will be missed by numerous family, friends and acquaintances."
Leo was preceded in death by his mother and father, Matrona and Kalumpi Larionoff Sr.; brothers, Joseph Peterson, Larry Larionoff, Kalumpi "Roger" Larionoff Jr. and Henry "Gordon" Larionoff; and sisters, Flora "Nancy" Boskofsky and Betty Jane "Dolly" Wilson.
He is survived by his daughter, Misty Katt and her three children, Wyatt, Lyle and Hunter of Anchorage; brothers, Frank Peterson Sr. of Bainbridge Island, Wash., and Victor Peterson of Old Harbor, Alaska; sister, Lucy "Sugar" Bergmann of Anchorage; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
