Harvey Charles Albright Jr., also known as "Charlie" and "C.M.F.A.," 23, died Aug. 24, 2010, in Eagle River, the victim of a homicide.

A memorial gathering and potluck will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Eagle River Lions Club. Everyone is welcome to share a special story. A memorial fund has been established for his family for expenses from this tragedy at Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, account #1551824.

He was born Jan. 4, 1987, in Chandler, Ariz., to Harvey Sr. and Brenda Albright.

Charlie spent most of his life in the Chugiak-Eagle River area. He was a Chugiak High alumni and was involved in sports, particularly soccer, baseball, skateboarding and frolf (Frisbee golf). He loved to draw and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Charlie touched the lives of both young and old with his love, sense of humor and his charm. He respected his elders and above ll had a love for life. He will be greatly missed and forever loved by all who knew him. He will be in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his parents, Harvey and Brenda Albright Sr.; his grandparents, Karen Albright and John and Joan Cullen; aunts and uncle, Sandra Albright, Sheila Cullen, Gladys Cullen and Paul Standifer; and cousins, Brean Albright, Talisa Cullen and Dusty Cullen.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harvey Leroy Albright; grandmother, Patricia Lee Cullen; and his dog "Boo."
