James Terrance Abbott passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 4, 2018.
Jim was born on Dec. 23, 1953, to Juanita and John Abbott in Dodge City, Kan.
Jim moved to Albany, Ore., in 1968 and graduated from West Albany High School in 1972.
It wasn't long after that, Jim made his way to Anchorage, Alaska. Through hard work, skill and determination, he became the owner and operator of White Fox Building Services, a very successful commercial heating and air conditioning company. His skills led him, at one point, to work on a project in Russia, which he was very proud of. Jim was considered one of the very best in his field and was well respected.
Jim retired in 2010, selling his business to his loyal and hardworking employees. Upon retirement, Jim transitioned back to Albany, rejoining with his lifelong friends in an area he never stopped loving.
Jim was an avid fisherman and hunter throughout his life, loving nothing more than to be in the great outdoors.
Jim enjoyed being a host for gatherings with his friends in his beautiful home. He was well known for being generous and giving, with a wonderful zest for life. So many will miss him so very much. He will never be forgotten.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita; and sister, Billie.
He is survived by his brother, Mike.
A celebration of his full life will be at noon on Jan. 27, 2018, at 159 Ferry in Jefferson, Ore.
