The unforgettable Jaqueline "Jackie" Ann Patricia Gregory passed away suddenly on Dec. 19, 2017, at her home in Anchorage, Alaska, at the age of 63.
Jackie was born in Redding, Calif., to Ralph and Juanita (Davis) Gregory and moved to Alaska at the age of 8. She attended Lake Otis and Rogers Park Elementary Schools, Wendler Middle School and graduated from East High School in 1972. Jackie worked in the Wholesale and Retail flooring business since the mid-80s; she was a very knowledgeable and creative flooring and tile designer who helped hundreds complete their homes. Jackie was an active member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association and served many years on the executive board. Recently she had changed careers and was employed by the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium at the time of her death.
Jackie's hobbies included painting, bead work, sewing and gardening. She enjoyed fishing and camping with friends on the Kenai River.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Vicki Gregory of Alaska. She is survived by her brother, Robert Gregory of Anchorage; and sister, Crystal Gregory Anderson of Folsom, Calif.; nieces and countless aunts, uncles and cousins in California. Jackie leaves many friends and business associates that she referred to as her Alaska family, as well as her dog, Patty Cake, and cat, LuLu, all of who will miss her tremendously.
Jackie only wanted one thing out of life - Living Life on her terms, and she succeeded.
A celebration of Life will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 8427 Jewel Lake Road in Anchorage, on Jan. 11, 2018, from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m., and at Gallo's Mexican Restaurant from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
