Jason Daniel Owens, age 42 of Gulfport, Mississippi passed away June 22, 2014 in Biloxi, Mississippi. He was born in Spokane, WA, and spent most of his life in Anchorage, AK graduating from A.J. Dimond High School.

While in Anchorage, Jason came to work at Orso's, a local fine dining restaurant where he was to meet his future wife, Tara. Their love and admiration for one another was evident to all. They enjoyed everything together, from entertaining friends in their home to traveling and tasting all the world had to offer.

Jason took great pride in his work as Food and Beverage Manager at Harrah's Gulf Coast facility in Biloxi. He was well respected by his employees during his five year tenure, and was extremely hard working and loved by all. He was known to be big-hearted and always used his talents and abilities to help others.

Jason had a great enthusiasm for life and all it had to offer. He loved motorcycles, the Denver Broncos, movies (particularly Star Wars), food and wine, his family, friends, and riding buddies - but most of all, he loved his wife and his children.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Owens; and his father-in-law, Dr. Myron Horn.

His memory is cherished by his wife, Tara Horn Owens; his father, Dan Owens; his children, Allyson, Jordan, Javier, and Diego; his siblings, Chris Owens (Tina), Katie Owens, and Kelsey Owens; his life-long friends, Bev, Darrell, Jessica, and Michael Rude; his mother-in-law, Phyllis Horn; his sisters-in-law, Tiffany Horn, Tammy Rankin, and Tonalea Carbonette; his brother-in-law, Travis Horn (Michelle); and so many adoring nieces and nephews.
