Jay Hunison Obituary
Jay was born in Canada on June 8, 1946. As a child, he came to Alaska with his dad and brother. He became an American citizen and attended school in Anchorage.
After graduating from high school, Jay became a Teamster member and went to work for the pipeline. He then went to Horizon Lines until he passed away.
Jay was a very nice person to everyone. He was always funny and loved to make people laugh. Racing his '66 Mustang at Palmer Raceway was where you would find him on the weekends.
On May 15, 2011, we will hold his memorial at the Alaska Raceway Park, Mile 10.4 of the Old Glenn Highway. The first race we will put a little time on the track for him. Following the races, there will be a celebration of life at this property.
Jay is survived by his wife Tina; loving family and friends.
