Jessica's story starts very much like it ended: in a hospital room surrounded by loved ones. On Feb. 10, 2018, Jessica Lorraine Russell, 36, passed peacefully into the night.
Jessica was born at Providence Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska, on Dec. 6, 1981, to Francesca and Michael Russell. When she was 2 years old her family moved from Anchorage to a log home they built in Palmer, Alaska. She graduated from Palmer High School and continued on to become a beautician. Jessica grew up running barefoot and free. She loved all things outdoors and was always up for a new adventure, which took her from shooting her first caribou in Hicks Creek to catching her last king salmon out of Sheep Creek. She knew love and was loved. We will forever keep her in our hearts and prayers.
She is survived by her parents; her brother, Edward; her sister, Michelle with brother-in-law, Ronnie and their children, Kenny and Serenity; her brother-in-law, Evan and his children, Banyan and Rowan; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She will be laid to rest alongside her younger sister, Samantha, in a private ceremony in Palmer.
Arrangements are entrusted to Legacy Funeral Homes, Kehl's Palmer Chapel.
