Jill Louise Perez-Castillo entered in to eternal life on September 18th, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis .

She was born in Oxnard, CA and raised in Port Hueneme, CA. After high school she went on to become a phlebotomist where she found her passion. She worked at many hospitals along the west coast, her favorites included Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage and Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura, CA. Jill moved to Alaska in 1997 to pursue a career with Providence Hospitals. She volunteered with many health services to include Alaska Health Fair, Blood Bank of Alaska and the Kidney Center. Her passion in life was helping others.
Jills Family: " Her courage, strength and determination will continue to help others. Her gentle, understanding and kind ways have helped family and friends through hard times in more ways than we can list. She showed everyone around her everyday was worth the fight. Her memory will continue as we come to terms with her departure. She will forever be remember as a wonderful loving grandmother, mother, daughter and sister.
Jill was a member at The Church On The Rock in Wasilla, Alaska. She accepted the Lord as her savior this summer, in what was an unforgettable moment of faith, salvation, and re-birth.
Jill leaves behind a long list of people who love and care for her. Daughter, Amanda Christian of Wasilla, Alaska; granddaughters, LyLy and PheonYx Mathes; mother, Mary Hess of Anchorage, Alaska; brother, Dolph Hess of Anchorage, AK.
