Jim Bosch passed away on Sept. 28, 2017, surrounded by family and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held for Jim and his wife, Carole, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Anchorage, Alaska, on Saturday, July 7, 2018, with a reception to follow at the Anchorage Senior Center.
Jim was born in Ogden, Utah, on July 13, 1943, to Keith and Barbara Bosch.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Jim came to Alaska in 1978, after working for Kennecott Utah for 10 years as a Haulage Truck Repair Foreman. He worked as a mechanic for NC Machinery before starting a 26-year career with the Alaska Railroad, retiring in 2007 as a Division Trainmaster.
Jim could always be found puttering around his property pulling one more weed; picking one more strawberry; or repairing one more vehicle.
Jim and his wife, Carole, were very involved with the Anchorage Senior Center as well as St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. Each summer they looked forward to visiting children and grandchildren and enjoyed playing cards.
Jim is survived by daughters, Kim of Singapore and Tracy of California; and sons, Mike and Dave of Utah, Scott of Georgia and Greg of Anchorage. Jim also leaves behind ten grandchildren and two granddoggers. His loving wife Carole preceded him in death.
