Jody came into this world June 10th, 1963 and died unexpectedly at the age of 50 September 11th, 2013 after a tragic fall at his home in Topock, Arizona. Jody was born in Portland, Oregon and shortly after moved to Anchorage, Alaska with his parents, sister and two brothers. Jody attended Lake Otis Elementary, Wendler Junior High, East and Service High School. In 1993 Jody married and moved to Kingman, Arizona and in 1996 purchased a parcel of land in Topock and began to build his dream home. Over the years Jody and his mother Mae built a beautiful four bedroom home from the ground up, Jody took so much pride in their home and what he accomplished.

For the past 16 years Jody was employed as a table games dealer and was currently working at the Aquarius Casino in Laughlin, Nevada.

Jody maintained many close and special relationships from his years growing up in Alaska and always extended an open door policy to all his friends and family. He loved to entertain and gather around the family pool. His hobbies included cars, music, decorating and dancing, boy could he dance!

Jody was known for his outgoing personality and loud boosterish laugh and always having a smile to share with all that came in touch with him, it was contiguous. Laughter was his trademark and you knew when he was present. Compassionate, loving, caring and always willing to help others is how he will be remembered.

Jody was a loving son, brother and friend to so many, family came first which was evident of the relationships he had with his mother Mae and three siblings. He was and always will be our hero!

He also was an avid animal lover currently spoiling and raising three Mexican Chihuahuas, two turtles and numerous cats.

Jody is survived by his mother, Mae Bell Kelso; sister, Lavonda Kelso both of Topock, Arizona; brothers, Ronnie Kelso of Bullhead City, Arizona and Wes Kelso of Anchorage, Alaska, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. Jody's father Gary Kelso passed away in 2006.
