Juan Luis Lopez, 32, of Anchorage, AK passed away on July 3, 2013. He was preceded in death by his mother, Michelle Gavaria. Survived by his son, Castell Christenson; grandparents, Ray and Nancy Hill; brother, Efrain Lopez; The Bremont, Rodriguez, Endicott, Nash families. Even though Juan had struggles, he was a kind person with a beautiful smile and unlimited potential. He would talk to strangers and he cared about many. He really loved his son and talked about him all the time. He lived in Colorado Springs and Florida for a while but always ended up at home, Alaska. Juan was a good boy growing up, he loved to dance and was easy going and excellent in sports such as hockey. He went to Dimond High School and during his senior year was involved in a terrible car accident in which he sustained head trauma and almost lost his life, then. Tough as nails, he pulled through and lived to 33 in which epilepsy was in the end his demise. He was a sweet person who was seeking God with the help of family, and friends that worked at the Soup Kitchen. We all loved him and will miss him but we know he is with God and happy in his arms and we will see him again. His funeral will be on July 10, Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. at Legacy Kehl's Chapel Funeral, 11621 Old Seward Highway, Anchorage, AK 99515, (907) 344-1497. Please call or text Shawn Rodriguez at (719) 646-6157 for more information.
