Eagle River resident Kathleen Frances Frigon, 82, died March 20, 2009, at home of natural causes with her husband and daughter, Linda, by her side.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
At her request, no service will be held.
Kathleen was born Jan. 2, 1927, in Ontario, Canada.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 9785, Women's Auxiliary to the Military Order of the Cooties, and the Women's International Bowling Conference. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, animals, birds, pottery and volunteering.
Kathleen came to Alaska in 1976 with her husband, Warren. She loved Alaska.
Her family wrote: "She was very outgoing and loved everyone. She always had a smile. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren."
Kathleen is survived by her devoted husband, George "Warren" Frigon of Eagle River; daughter, Linda (Bill) Adamo of Syracuse, N.Y.; son, Robert (Peggy) Frigon of Syracuse; daughter, Deborah Martin of Rome, Ga.; granddaughters, Sherri Turner, Traci Bertollini and Jennifer Frigon; grandsons, William Adamo, Jeffrey Frigon and Brandon Martin; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and "Alaska daughter," Betty Hinson.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; her parents; and a brother.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathleen's name to Providence Hospice or Friends of Pets.
Arrangements are with Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
