Kellsie Lee Jaclyn Green, 24, passed away on Jan. 10, 2016, at the Alaska Regional Hospital. Kellsie was born on March 19, 1991, in Anchorage, Alaska. She attended Wasilla High School and Burchell High School and received a degree for massage therapy. She graduated from the Military Youth Academy in 2007. Kellsie attended Church on the Rock and was also baptized there. Kellsie had worked at Three Bears, Denali Restaurant and as a massage therapist. She enjoyed drawing, singing, journaling, poetry, writing, baking and cooking, making crafts with her mom and playing guitar. Kellsie had a special love for animals. Family states: "Kellsie was beautiful on the inside and outside. She had a kind and giving soul. She was sweet, funny, generous, loving and kind-hearted. She could make anyone laugh. She sang like an angel from the time she was 2. Kellsie had so many friends and family that loved her. She never knew just how many lives she touched. She loved family get-togethers and campouts. She wrote poems and was always adding 'hearts' and 'special touches' to cards and pictures. She loved all animals, especially her dogs, Angel Baby and Buddy. Jesus was always in her heart and soul. Kellsie - You are loved for the 'little girl' you were, the 'special' woman you are and the 'precious' daughter you will always be. 'Butterfly Kisses.'" Kellsie is survived by her father, John Green; and mother, Kathi Green; brother and sister-in-law, Shane and Larinda Green; nieces, Abigail and Brynlee Green; aunts and uncles, Kelly and Steve Baxter, Kari and Randy Dupree, Kellie and Kap Cowan, Vicki and Joe Turtle, Ellen Combs and Tom Green; grandparents, Bob and Nancy Green; cousins, Marc Combs, Morgan Nickels, Jarett, Madeleine and Marshall Dupree, Craig and Matthew Baxter, Cody and Rhys Sands, Kaelie and Kap Jr. Cowan and Chad and Jake Turtle; the love of her life, Matthew Sandvik; and many more family and friends. Kellsie is preceded in death by her son, Gabriel; grandparents, Jack and Sunny Cowan; aunt, Laura Cowan-Sands; uncle, Kevin Cowan; great-grandmother, Cleo Brooks, Tianna Tanner and Nikki Tuner. A service will be held on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at 5 p.m. at the Church on the Rock, 3571 West Machen Drive (Mile 45.5 Parks Hwy., Wasilla, AK 99654). A reception will follow at the same location.
