Kenneth Ken Krasselt, 87, passed away on July 10, 2016, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Wash. Ken was a man among men. He greeted everyone with a smile or a hug and a firm handshake. His contributions to the community were many. During World War II he served in the Navy in the South Pacific. As a private pilot, he enjoyed flying, fishing, hunting and enjoying the outdoors. Hockey was also a favorite and he enjoyed playing, coaching and announcing at the old Quanset Hut for the Wolverines and many college teams. Other activities were the Lions, Masons, Shriners and various military service organizations. He was a recipient of the Red Cross Good Samaritan Awards and felt humble that he was able to help another human being live. His doctor summed it up the best, somehow Ken was able to fit five lives into one. Ken is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; along with his daughters, Kathleen and Karen. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from noon to 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, followed by service at Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, 2800 O'Malley Road in Anchorage, Alaska. After services, please meet at the Fort Richardson Arctic Valley Gate at 2:30 p.m. for burial. Arrangements are with Janssens Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
