Kristen Lynn See, 35, beloved daughter and sister, passed away at her Anchorage, Alaska, home on Oct. 6, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Oct. 13, 2015, at Legacy Funeral Home, Heritage Chapel at Angelus, 440 East Klatt Rd. in Anchorage. Kristen was born on March 3, 1980, in Flagstaff, Ariz., and moved with her parents to Anchorage when she was 8-months-old. She lived an idyllic childhood; her days were filled with carefree joy, playing dollhouse and dress-up and reading with her mom. She attended Anchorage public schools, graduating from Service High School in 1998. Shortly after, she enrolled at UAA. She had an incredibly caring and generous soul. Kristen always put other's needs ahead of her own, even if it led to personal hardship. She loved children and they were drawn to her fun-filled personality. She had a special place in her heart for animals and she was devoted to the many pets she had throughout her life. Kristen was a social butterfly and was happiest when surrounded by others. Her favorite activities included watching movies, cooking, occasionally getting pampered at the salon and planning events that would bring joy to friends and family members. Kristen cared deeply for her family. She was especially proud of the accomplishments of her brother and sister. She spoiled her niece with an abundance of designer stuffed toys and she had a close relationship with her grandparents. Early this year, Kristen met the love of her life, Jeremiah, and was happily anticipating their spring wedding. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Shirley Hunt; and grandfather, Robert See. She is survived by her parents, John and Jeanne See; her sister, Erin Picado (Christian); her brother, Michael See; niece, Kayleigh Picado; grandfather, Lee Hunt; grandmother, Marianne See; her uncles, Jim See (Shelly), Tom See (Bill Bowdle) and Tim See, Scott Hunt (Tammy) and Jeff Hunt; aunt, Terri Duncan; numerous cousins; and her fiance, Jeremiah Zajic. She was well loved by all. The family requests memorial donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or to your local animal shelter. Arrangements entrusted to Legacy Funeral Home, Heritage Chapel at Angelus. To share condolences with the family please visit www.legacyalaska.com.
