Laresa lost her battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at her home in Anchorage, Alaska, surrounded by her family. Laresa was born in Unalaska, Alaska, to Margaret Anderson (Makarin) and graduated from Unalaska City School in 1972.
Laresa will forever be remembered by her sons, Patrick (Chassidy) Dushkin of Cloquet, Minn., Ti Dushkin of Adak, Alaska, PJ Dushkin of Adak, and Mepp (Joyce) Dushkin of Anchorage; her brothers, Eugene (Laura) Makarin and John Anderson; and treasured grandchildren, Caleb, Liorah, Trevor, Aiden, Grace, Logan, Brody, Cyrus and Brooke; niece, Kathleen Makarin; and nephews, Kenneth and Sean Makarin. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Moses; mother, Margaret Anderson (Makarin); grandmother, Maria Makarin; and brothers, Terry and Jerry Anderson.
Viewing will be held at St. Innocent Cathedral in Anchorage on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at 11 a.m., with a Panikhida service to follow on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at 12 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at Holy Ascension of Our Lord Cathedral in Unalaska on Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, at 2 p.m. A potluck will follow the service and burial at the Father Ishmail Gromoff Senior Center.
