Leslie, 51, passed away on August 7, 2013. Leslie was born in Anchorage and was a graduate of East High School. He was a union member of Carpenters Local 1281. Les worked in various projects in Anchorage, Dillingham, Barrow, and Soldotna. Leslie use to go commercial fishing in Igushik, AK in Bristol Bay from 1984 to 1999 and from 2010 to 2012. His hobbies included playing acoustic, electric, and bass guitars.

Statements from his children: "A Great Dad who would go out of his way to make us happy. He loved to play guitar. He had a big heart. He taught me how to make the best out of any situation." - Kyle

"He was always there for anybody and a great listener. He wasn't selfish, he gave to everybody. When there wasn't enough, he made it work. He was very friendly and outgoing. He was the greatest guitar player I know. He would always play songs for me when I ask. We would take trips at the spur of the moment. He didn't care for things that had value because of how much they were worth, but of how much they have sentimental value. He read a lot of scriptures from the bible. Whenever he would give me advice, it would be based on the words of God." - Karina

"Our father taught us to have personality, confidence, and happiness. He loved carpentry, commercial fishing, and most of all his family. He enjoyed watching Jeopardy' because he was very intelligent. Throughout my childhood I thought he was the coolest', the best', and the greatest' person alive." -Jason, Sr.

Leslie is survived by his mother, Leslie Ginger' Zarobsky, his father, Chris Catalone; sisters, Jackie Gordon, and Mary Adkins; children, Jason, Sr., Kyle, and Karina Catalone; grandchildren, Kaliah and Jason Jr.

His request was for his ashes to be scattered in Igushik where he used to commercial fish for many summers. A service will be held August 13, 2013 with a viewing at 2 p.m. and funeral service at 3 p.m. It will be at the Bragaw Chapel at the Legacy Funeral Home on 1707 S. Bragaw St.
