Anchorage resident Levelin Donelle Jones, 34, died suddenly Nov. 17, 2008, of a heart attack at his home in Anchorage.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E. St. A service will follow at 12:30 p.m.. A memorial dinner will be held at 4 p.m. that night at Muldoon VFW. Officiants will be Superintendent Lincoln Snow and Bishop Curlee L. Robinson Jr. He will be laid to rest at Fort Richardson National Cemetery after the service. Pallbearers include Arnell Faralan, Fred Estes and Ryan Johnsen.
Donelle was born Nov. 21, 1974, in Fayettville, N.C. He was in the U.S. Army from 1993-1996, then worked for GCI. He was affiliated with the House of Prayer for All Nations and Center of Hope. He volunteered his time at the Muldoon Boys and Girls Club. He liked to paint and race R.C. cars and was learning to play guitar. He also was a connoisseur of fine tobacco and cigars.
His family wrote, "Donelle was the rock of security to his wife and two beautiful daughters. He was a beautiful soul who will be missed and never forgotten."
Survivors include his wife Betty Jones; 7- and 9-year-old daughters, Essence Kimmi Jones, and Karizma D'Anna Jones, all of Anchorage; parents, Jimmy and Evelyn Jones of Fayettville; father- and mother-in-law, William and Kim Scull of Anchorage; brothers, Lorenzo, Oscar McAllister and Anthony Jones; sister, Lynette McAllister all of Fayetteville; and numerous nieces and nephews in Anchorage and Fayettville.
