Margaret worked at Sand Lake Elementary School as their Administrative Assistant and retired from there in 2008. She dedicated her remaining time to caring for her grandchildren. She was an active and faithful member at Jewel Lake Parish, an avid gardener and a passionate "Quilting Diva."
She is survived by her devoted husband; brother; sons; daughters-in-law; seven grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jackie Dillion; her father, Rawlins Apperson; and her son, Joe Ray Billingslea. A memorial for Margaret will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at 3:00 p.m., at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 8427 Jewel Lake Road. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Margaret's life.
