Mary always had the best ideas for how to handle students who were hard to reach. She touched them with her firm love and those kids were the ones who came back most to thank her for her guidance. We had great times, with smiles and stories in the teachers' lounge. We will miss her so. Our thoughts are with you.

Mary was an important and dearly loved part of Denali Elementary School for many years. Dozens of her former 6th grade students have come back to the school through the years, hoping she still works here, wanting to share their successes and to thank her. As school staff, we are very happy that she was able to join us for lunch at New Years. Those memories have become even more precious to all of us now. Mary was loved and will be deeply missed. Our condolences and deepest sympathy go out to her husband, Clarence, their sons, and the family. From the staff of Denali School - sent with love from her many friends.
