My Bride
You filled my life and everyone around you with love and joy. I was blessed to be allowed to share you with the world for 17 years. Heading to your cabin for a few to contemplate all the love and compassion you had for others; a place where so much of your love was shared. Ken

She was a KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOUR when it came to her style of healthcare!!! As her personally - you will NEVER find anyone like her. No matter what she was going through she always had a smile and words of wisdom when I was going through a tragedy or just one of those days when working with her.

I learned of her illness the last time I was at the VA and they had transfered my name to another PA. It sorrows me to learn of her passing but glad to know heaven has a special angel. RIP

So sorry for your loss. Mary and I were childhood friends, went to elementary school together and can't forget being in the same girls scout troop. We had lots of fun together and what a wonderful surprise to see Mary and Ken at Old St Pat's church after mass this past summer. You will be missed.

Goodbye Mary. Of all the times I went to the VA and was assigned to you many years ago, I was absolutely dumbfounded as to how they were able to keep you. Simply put, you were the best person for my health and heart. My condolences to your family and friends and please know Mary will be remembered by a lot of us as a rare treasure and good human being.

A Mary story- several of us were traveling nurses in Salt Lake City, we were all on a diet and would take turns cooking dinner for each other before our night shifts. The night it was Mary's turn she made the best green beans and we gobbled them up. After dinner she realized she had covered them with frosting instead of diet margarine. We laughed til we were sick, I don't think any of us lost weight that week. Mary taught me how to fish for halibut. Mary took me camping to fish for Reds. Mary introduced me to her wonderful friends Peg and Dave in Anchorage. I will really miss her, there was no one like her. She would have loved reading all these tributes, especially those from her patients. Bye my friend.

I had the privilege and honor to call Mary my friend and colleague while working with her at Alaska Regional Hospital in the 90s. She was always willing to share her knowledge and guide those of us with less experience. I enjoyed meeting all of you some years ago on a visit to Alaska and sharing a dinner at your home. She was always strong and courageous. I am deeply sorry for your sadness and the loss of such a beautiful person.

I have never met a harder worker than Mary. Always busy but never too busy to share a story or listen. Working with her at the V A was a true privilege and I know for a fact her veterans adored her. Many shared stories like "I wouldn't be alive if Mary had not been there for me." When she got her transplant, I was certain she would live life in ease. However, all I can figure is god needed a special angel! Our loss. Miss your smile and your laugh Mary. God bless you and yours. Wanda Sutterer

To The Family, Please accept my condolences. Mary was my Primary Care Giver since 2002, she pushed me, cured me and took care of me like the true professional she was. Not being above a joke if i had one she could come back with some great ones. I don't think time mattered because she always be running behind because she was taking care of her people. Thank you, Mary and may you rest in peace knowing yes, you did make a difference in a lot of lives.
