Michele G. Brittian, 62, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Providence Horizon House in Anchorage, Alaska.

A burial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 11th, 2014 at Fort Richardson National Cemetery. Procession will begin at 2:30 p.m. Flowers may be sent to Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street, Anchorage, AK 99501. A celebration of life will follow at the Carpentier's Lounge, 335 Boniface Parkway, in Anchorage, AK at 5 p.m.
Michele was born on May 2, 1951 in Cleona, Pennsylvania to Lawrence and Elizabeth Tobias. In 1975 she moved to Anchorage, AK where she worked for the United States Air Force. She was employed at Bristol Industries in Anchorage, AK.
Michele will be remembered by her laugh, her no nonsense attitude, immense love of books, coffee, and crossword puzzles and for being one "tough cookie." She also enjoyed playing darts with the Alaska Dart Association and was considered to be one of the top female players in Alaska, competing most every year in Las Vegas. Michele was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her life partner, Mike Sexton; daughter, Angela Fite and husband, Nathan of Sherman's Dale, PA; son, Jerry Layser and companion, Deb D'Aurelio of Annville, PA; son, Joshua Brittian and wife, Cristina of Knoxville, MD; son, Alex Brittian of Anchorage, AK; daughter, Michele Brittian-Brinson and husband, Nick of Wasilla, AK; son, Victor Stuart and wife, Shayna of Newcastle, WY; son, Benjamin Stuart of Anchorage, AK; grandchildren, Candi Layser, Tori Layser, Alexanne Fite, Laurel Fite, Taylor Brinson and Sirius Brittian; and great-grandchildren, Jantize Suarez and Jayleauni Suarez.
She is preceded in death by father, Lawrence Tobias; mother, Elizabeth Tobias; and brother, Gerald Tobias.
