Noretta died peacefully in her home.
She is survived by her life partner, Gordon Kamholz Jr.; her children, Debra with her husband Stanley, and Stacey with her husband Mark, and sons Gordon III and Guy. She is predeceased by her daughter, Ivy Lee. She is blessed with 17 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
Born in Sharon, Wis., Noretta traveled to Alaska in 1962, settling in Alaska for over 50 years. Noretta belonged to the Red Hat Society, loved to play Bunko, read with her book club and grow flowers. Noretta's talents are too numerous to list. She left behind many life treasures with all who met her in the form of her laughter with a bright smile accompanied with a joke, short story or amusing anecdote.
In honor of her life, Noretta's family cordially invites her friends to join them at the American Legion in Wasilla, Alaska, at 5050 Tweed Court; 907-376-3500. This celebration will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017.
