Patricia Lynn Phillips (Palmer), 65, of Big Lake, Alaska, passed away with loved ones by her side on Oct. 23, 2017, after a brief illness.
Patti was born on Oct. 9, 1952, in Anchorage, Alaska, to John "Jack" Palmer and Marilyn Defoe. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Jerry Phillips.
She leaves behind her five children: son, Jesse Denny and Karma; son, Justin and Megan Denny; daughter, Saralyn and Derek Trimmer; son, Coal Phillips and Tessa Thompson; and daughter, Mindy Phillips; as well as daughters-in-law, Cara Jones and Taryn Howell; and son-in-law, Chad Howell. She was a beloved grandmother to 16 grandchildren: Haliegh, Khaira, Coby, Jasmine, Emmalee, Hayden, Justin, Colin, Brian, Trinity, Molly, Evan, Brayden, Bella, Khristian and Dean; as well as four great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brothers, Richard Pierce of Washington, and Mike Palmer of Alaska; and sister, Debbie Horner of West Virginia. She made an impression on many children in her life and she had many close friends that will miss her dearly.
She enjoyed being with her family, gardening, cooking, entertaining, teaching her grandchildren her recipes and spending time with her dogs, Coco and Honey. She will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life will be held at the Grandview Inn and Suites, 2900 East Parks Highway in Wasilla, Alaska, at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017. In lieu of flowers, please bring a gift to donate to our local charities to be distributed during this holiday season.
