Paul J. Moseley Winter passed away suddenly on June 5, 2018, in Anchorage, Alaska. Paul was born in Salem, Ore., on Dec. 28, 1977, to Richard and Bonnie Winter. He lived most of his life in Anchorage. Paul was greatly loved by everyone who knew him. Always smiling and with a positive attitude, he brought light and laughter into any room he entered. His daughter referred to him as her "superhero" and he was a loving and supportive husband to his wife Isabel. He had a wide range of interests, with music being first and foremost. He obtained a bachelor's degree in natural sciences at University of Alaska Anchorage and worked for the Environmental Conservation Department for the State of Alaska.
He is survived by his wife, Isabel Lau-Winter; his young daughter, Violet Winter of Anchorage; his brother and sister-in-law, Don and Priscilla Winter of Wasilla, Alaska; his niece, Rhiannon Winter of Wasilla; his mother, Bonnie Winter Steinriede of Anchorage; his stepfather, Martin Steinriede of Anchorage; his brother-in-law, Jose Lau of Wasilla; his brother-in-law, Manuel Lau of Anchorage; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alfredo and Margarita Lau of Anchorage; his grandmother, Lois Sorvisto of Airdrie, Alberta, Canada; his uncle and aunt, Lee and Debra Whittaker of Airdrie, Alberta; as well as several cousins in Alberta and in Oregon.
Mr. Winter is preceded in death by his father, Richard Don Moseley Winter.
A memorial service will be held at Cornerstone Church, 10443 Brayton Drive in Anchorage, on Friday, June 15, 2018, at 1 p.m.
