Ray LaFazio Obituary

Ray Andrew LaFazio, born June 6, 1972, in Anchorage, died May 7, 2011 (Anchorage).

"Creepo" or "Ray Ray" was 38 years old, son of Frank and Dolores. He was class of 1990 at AJ Dimond High. His hobbies included music, movies and cars.

Ray was a beloved dad, son, brother, uncle and friend. He had a bold sense of style, very GQ. Ray had a passion for teasing his daughter, nieces and nephews. Creepo enjoyed mac and cheese, Doritos and Pepsi for breakfast (lunch and dinner). He was there for everyone; he always had time to lend an ear. Ray Ray, as most knew him, had a generous heart.

Ray was survived by his daughter, Nicholle; mother, Dolores; sister, Cherie (Ray); brothers, Tye and James; nieces, Carla (Steve), Joscelyn (Shawn) and Summer; nephews, Carl, Jared and Dylan; great-nieces and nephews, Carson, Kaitlin, Chris, Dylan and Gavin; close family friends, Shannon and Justin Harris, Madison, Aaliyah, Dustin, Jason, Matt, Erin, James, Ms. Le, Gefforey, Allison and many "special" friends.

Ray was preceded in death by his father, Frank; brother, Ricky; and grandparents.

Ray had many friends and acquaintances. Those who knew Ray, loved him; but not everyone KNEW him. Those who knew him are welcome to attend.

A celebration of life will be held at his family's home Friday May 13, 2011, from 7-9 p.m. at 730 Bradley Circle, Anchorage. In lieu of flowers, Ray's family suggests memorial donations be sent to Dolores Lafazio at 730 Bradley Circle, Anchorage 99518. Donations will help take care of his daughter.

It's been years since I spoke or heard from Ray. Durning the days of looking for Hotwheels.
He was a good friend but we lost contact and I never heard from him or what was up with him. Sad to read this. Had some fun times with Ray.

Some Native Americans believe that when a loved one passes away, their soul rises into the sky and becomes a star to watch over their loved ones until all are reunited.
I'll see you in the night time sky brother.....

Although we didn't always agree, we still shared some really good times together. You left the best legacy you could ever leave... our daughter, Nicholle. I will take great care of her and will keep you in my heart and mind while raising her to make sure she always remembers who you are. Our hearts ache because you are gone. We will miss you greatly!
