Rechelle Lynnae Bystedt passed away peacefully in her home, at the age of 43, on Oct. 3, 2017. Rechelle was born on Feb. 28, 1974, and is a lifetime Alaskan who graduated from East High School, Class of 1992, and attended University of Alaska Anchorage.
Rechelle's family described her as, "A kind soul who firmly believed in living in the moment." She enjoyed many activities, but among her favorites were reading and knitting.
She is survived by her children, Ashlee Thornton and Tyler Thornton, from her marriage to Gregory Thornton; and Benelli Bystedt and Abigail Bystedt from marriage to James Bystedt; her parents, Jerry and Rita Wilson; brother, Lesley Wilson (Kim); sister, Denise Rogers (Matthew); and a large extended family.
Rechelle's service will be held at the Anchorage Church of Christ, 2700 DeBarr Road in Anchorage, on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at 7 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by Legacy Funeral Homes Heritage Chapel at Angelus Cemetery.
