Our beloved son, dad, uncle, cousin and friend, Richard Deric Herring, died on Dec. 26, 2017. Richard was born in Anchorage, Alaska, on July 12, 1961. Richard graduated from Dimond High School in 1979, and graduated from University of Colorado in 1985. Richard was born a people person: he loved to meet people and entertain. Richard was active in many sports, but his big three loves were golfing, fishing and playing in Hawaii. Richard was always running late, but was never late to fish.
Richard was vice president of Construction Unlimited.
He leaves behind his mother, Rica Aileen Herring; brother, Steve (Marie); John; sister, Judy (Chad) Schonbeck; niece, Cynthia; son of his heart, Austin Stewart; aunts and uncles; and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John M. Herring; and grandparents, Frank and Rica Swanson and Bill Ann Herring.
A Memorial service will be held at Fox Hollow Chalet, 11801 Brayton Drive, on Jan. 20, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Feel free to bring a dish to share with everyone.
