Anchorage resident Ricky James Bashore, 49, died Dec 16, 2010 at home.

His service will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, at 1111 E. 12th Ave. Those with questions may call Linda at 240-7151 or Ashley at 240-7101.

Born July 16, 1961, in Paulding, Ohio, he came to Alaska, where his family homesteaded on the Holitna River.

He was raised as a Christian and moved to Anchorage to graduate from West High School.

He was a successful musician who formed the band "The Knobs" and traveled all over Alaska to play for people. His outgoing personality kept everyone laughing. He was always the life of the party. What he loved more than anything was cooking for his family and boogie-boarding in Hawaii with his children.

He is survived by the love of his life, Linda Greene; and beautiful children, Ricky J. Bashore II and Ashley N. Bashore; and parents, Jim and Minnie Bashore of Arizona.
