The years spent in DOH with the likes of Dean, Van Cothern, Woody, Andy and others cast a warm blanket of memories as time lowers its curtain. Dean was a "good" one. My good fortune was to know him and our misfortune to lose him. tom kouremetis

Julia and Family,
Long ago, there was a plan that God put into motion for a little boy! That little boy grew into a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, leader and a friend to many. Dean touch so many lives with his wisdom.
Dean has left us, but his memories fill our hearts. Can't you see him taping Service High Girls basketball games, watching Marcy playing softball, strolling through DOT/PF, and his wonderful smile as he watched Brittney.
Our prayers are with you guys and know that God has his arms around during this time..God Bless you!! Anita and Marv.

Dean was certainly one of the last of the “good guys”, I am so sorry we have lost him. He was a friend, an excellent mentor, and the very best boss I had during the many years we both spent working for the State of Alaska—Department of Highways in the 1960’s, 70’s, 80’s, and later with ADOT. God Speed and rest in peace my friend on your next journey.
