Samuel-Karmin LaRenz Wyche, 19, known as "Sammy" departed this life on Sept. 20, 2017, in Anchorage, Alaska.
Sammy was born on Aug. 26, 1998, in Anchorage, to parents Rosalyn Wyche and Karmen Bell.
Sammy was kind-hearted, and cared about his family. He was a loving, devoted son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend, who was always willing to give the shirt off his back for others. He was not able to accomplish everything in life that he had intended such as, becoming a successful barber.
Sammy accepted Christ at a young age under the leadership of the late Bishop Robert Ray of God's Greater Holy Temple.
Sammy will be remembered for his contagious laughter, and his beautiful and infectious smile that brightened any room.
Sammy leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Rosalyn Wyche; father, Karmin Bell; stepfather, Bernard J. Mullen; great-grandmother, Tessie Lee Taylor (Robert); grandmother, Carolyn Knox (Tommie); godmother, Jacqueline Ray; uncles, Roscoe Wyche III (Letitia) and Duane Bell; aunts, Kasandra Wyche Griffin, Dedra Harris (Alvin), Voncia Bell and Nioko Collins; brothers, DeVonte' Wyche, Bernard R. Mullen, DeShawn Cook and Jerry Sails; sisters, Roz'lyn Grady (Albert), Karmen Wyche and Ashley Walker; and a host of family and friends that were special to him, so it would be impossible to mention them all.
Sammy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roscoe Wyche Jr. and Annie Carroll Wyche; and Irvin Breland.
The viewing will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, and funeral at 12 p.m., at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. The burial will immediately follow, at 2 p.m., at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends may make contributions at Credit Union One Acct No. 558231 (Rosalyn Wyche) for funeral and other expenses.
Arrangements entrusted to Witzleben Legacy Funeral Home.
