Steve A. Fisher, 62, of West Lawn, Pa., and formerly of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at the Berkshire Center in Exeter Township, Pa. Steve was born in West Reading, Pa., on Feb. 8, 1954, a son of the late Ruth (Berger) and Merlin Fisher. He was a graduate of Wilson High School; Albright College; the United Theological Seminary in Ohio; Reading Area Community College; and was certified in sign language. Steve was a Registered Nurse at hospitals in Bradford, Pa.; Fairbanks, Alaska; and in Anchorage, Alaska. He was a wrestling coach at Twin Valley High School and also in Fairbanks. He enjoyed following Wilson High sports, especially the football program. While residing Alaska, he enjoyed following the Iditarod. He is survived by two sisters, Wendy S., wife of John Glassmoyer, of Sinking Spring, Pa., and Ruth Ann, wife of Roy Blimline, of Gouglersville, Pa.; two brothers, Kerry C. Fisher of Reinholds, Pa., and Jay M. Fisher, husband of Jamie, of Fleetwood, Pa.; six nieces; and three nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at 10:30 a.m., at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home Inc. in Wernersville, Pa., with Rev. Terry Cooney officiating. A visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.
