Steven Petrivelli was born on Dec. 1, 1965, and died on Jan. 19, 2016, after a lengthy battle with AIDS related infections and cancer. He was born in California, and his family moved to Anchorage, Alaska, in 1969, where he attended Airport Heights, Wendler and West Anchorage High School. Steve enjoyed socializing with his friends. He was known for his love of singing, dancing and music. If he considered you a friend he would do anything for you. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Joseph; and his mother, Alice (Snigaroff) Petrivelli. He is survived by his sisters, Evelyn (George) Portrait, Lynn Peters and Patricia and Frances (Trish Uri) Petrivelli; brothers, Joseph, Anthony and Gino Petrivelli; nieces, Megan Jenks and Elizabeth (Libby) Petrivelli; and nephews, Keith (Amy), George, Evan and Lucas Portrait, Michael (Lee Ann) and Eric (Sarah) Jenks and McKial and Liam McCarty; also many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews from the Petrivelli and Snigaroff families. A funeral service will be held at Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street, Anchorage, AK 99501, on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, at 1 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery at 2 p.m. Arrangements are with Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
