It is with great sadness that the family of Terry D. Cogdill announce his unexpected passing on Aug. 10, 2017, at the age of 60.
Terry was born in Santa Ana, Calif., on Nov. 12, 1956. His parents brought him to Alaska in 1972, where he had many great adventures. Terry was a loner, he liked to play guitar and drink beer and party with the ladies. He was stubborn and didn't like doctors and continued to live his life as he saw fit until the end.
He will be fondly remembered by many in Barrow, Alaska, as "the water man," as he delivered water there for many years.
Terry is survived by his mother, Betty McKenzie; his brothers, Jerry and Gary Cogdill, and Larry and Ursula Cogdill; his sister, Peggy Barber; his biological daughter, Shalayna Barber; and two grandchildren, Mason and Jaxon Frank.
He was preceded in death by his father, Benny Cogdill; and his stepfather, Charlie McKenzie.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
