Theodore Evans Adamy, 86, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away at Alaska Regional Hospital on April 14, 2017, due to complications with Parkinson's Disease. Theodore was born on Nov. 29, 1930, and has been a resident of Anchorage since 1972. He served in the United States Marines from 1952-1954, and spent six years in the Reserves achieving rank of Sergeant. He was a member of the Union Carpenter Local 1281 beginning with The Girdwood Hotel in 1972, Northway Mall, Dimond Mall, Regional Hospital, Arco Building, Sheraton Hotel, Wells Fargo Bank and the Loussac Library. He retired in 1985. He leaves his loving wife of 63 years, Shirley Joan; daughters, Wanda J. (Jim) Wolford and Tina S. (Jeff) Judd; son, Matthew R. (Janece) Adamy all of Wasilla, Alaska; granddaughters, Haley Wolford, Rhiannon Wolford and husband Brett Hulbert, Larinda (Shane) Green and Brandy Adamy; grandson, Cody Adamy; twin great-granddaughters, Abigail and Brynlee Green. Siblings, Lila Adamy Egger, Frank Cooper, JR and John Cooper also survive. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Danny Lee; parents, Nick and Sarah Adamy; brothers, Nick and Gene Adamy; and sister, Peggy. Theodore was happiest when spending time with his family. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, painting Alaskan scenes, carving wood and antlers, gardening and tinkering in his shop. A union carpenter by trade; he was a craftsman and took great pride in his work. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced. His cremated remains will be scattered with his wife's at their favorite hunting camp, at the time of her passing.
