On Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, Thomas "T.J." Barclay, a beloved nephew, brother, cousin, uncle, father, great-uncle and friend, was killed during a sudden and tragic event, at the age of 48, in Anchorage, Alaska. T.J. was born on July 14, 1969, in Everett, Wash., to Thomas Burton Barclay and Helen Louise Burrell Barclay, whose deaths had preceded his own. Shortly after his birth, the family moved back to Alaska, where he was raised. He will never be forgotten and will always remain etched into the hearts of his loved ones.
He sadly leaves behind a son, Thomas James Shaw of North Dakota; daughters, Satieva Louise Barclay and Destiny Nichole Gentry of Idaho; sisters, Lori Ann Barclay and Angela Nicole McKenna of Idaho; brothers, Kenneth Edward Barclay of Kentucky and Dustin Burton Barclay of Alaska; niece, Autumn Nicole McKenna (daughter of Angela); and nephews, R.J. Winterholler and Timothy Winterholler (sons of Lori) Seven Metrokin and Cael Barclay (sons of Dustin).
A celebration in memory of his life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street in Anchorage, from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. The family invites all who wish to share in memories, stories and say their final goodbyes to join us. T.J. will be laid to rest next to his mother, as he wished, at Angelus Memorial Park Cemetery in the spring of 2018.
Arrangements are with Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
