Longtime Alaska resident Todd Allen Boedigheimer passed away on Oct. 22, 2017, at the age of 55.
Todd was born on Sept. 8, 1962, in Cottage Grove, Minn., to Elvan and Bernice Boedigheimer. He was a graduate of Park High School in Cottage Grove, Minn., Class of 1980.
Todd will be remembered by his smile, big, deep loud voice, his laughter and his presence in a crowd. He was a giant of a man, both in stature and in heart.
He moved to Alaska, in 1982, to start an adventure. His fish tales were as tall as he was. He spent his free time fishing, woodworking and making jokes. He loved the Minnesota Vikings, Jack Daniels and Fireball Whiskey. He never met a stranger, everyone was a friend and everyone loved him. Above all else, his family was his passion and always his first priority.
Todd was preceded in death by his father, Elvan Boedigheimer; daughter, Kelsey Boedigheimer; and sister-in-law, Carol Boedigheimer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Leslie Boedigheimer of Anchorage; sons, Brandon (Stephanie) of Beaverton, Ore., and Nolan (Amanda) of Anchorage, Alaska; mother, Bernice Boedigheimer of Perham, Minn.; brothers, Tim Boedigheimer of Peters Creek, Alaska, and Troy (Rosey) Boedigheimer of Perham, Minn.; mother-in-law, Ardis Cry of Rio Linda, Calif.; father-in-law, Randy Cry of Grass Valley, Calif.; brother-in-law, Ian Brian (Mesha) Marr of Aurora, Colo.; niece and nephew, Sydney and Tyler Marr of Aurora, Colo.; and family friends, Tim (Nola) West of Anchorage, Greg (Luci) Roberts of Eagle River, Alaska, and Scott (June) Gill of Belding, Mich. Todd was also a patron father to: Taylor West, Cailey Rose Hermansen-Jent, Austin Roberts, Randy Gill, Valerie Gill-Corner, Leland Grohs, Dean Muslin, Brandi Lewis and Trevin Zaleppa.
A private visitation was held on Oct. 26, 2017, at Anchorage Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at 1 p.m., at Anchorage City Church, 1301 West 100th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99515.
