When Trudy moved to Proctor she became close friends. We had a lot in common......could discuss a variety of things. It was never just boys and clothes. One summer Trudy accompanied our family on our summer vacation. We were staying at a resort on Lake Mille Lacs. It's a very large lake, so most fishing is done on launches. We were there just to have a good time. When we ran out of our normal bait, we used peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. We caught over our limit of walleyes, and had to throw some back. The others on the launch just scowled at us. When we got to shore , my dad took the stringer and had me take a picture of him. :)

Trudy was my closest friend in high school. One year she even accompanied my family on our summer vacation. We were at Lake Mil Lacs and went fishing with a group. Trudy and I over caught our limits with peanut butter sandwiches for bait. There were a few frustrated people who were not so lucky with their catches on that launch. Although I didn't see Trudy much after high school, personality wise, she was my closest friend.

Dear Dave, Brian, Susie and Casper, We're so sorry to hear about Trudy, she was such an inspiration and help to us this year. I will miss her ever ready smile, willingness to help and sharing her stories of love for all of you. Brian, Your mom was so proud of you and all you've accomplished academically and in swimming and sweet Casper when your grandma talked about you her eyes lit up. With heartfelt sympathy.

You have our deepest sympathy. Back in the 50s and 60s the "girls" came to visit every summer. Trudy liked to tell us that she went swimming in Lake Superior as cold as it was. We hadn't seen her for many years until two falls ago when David and Trudy came to our Hanson family 22 rifle competition in Wisconsin, one of her dad's favorite events.
We will miss Trudy!
