Vicki Johnson-Batac, 46, died Feb. 22, 2010, at her Anchorage home.

A celebration of life will be from 2-7 p.m. Sunday at the Moose Lodge on Arctic Boulevard in Anchorage.

Vicki was born Dec. 21, 1963, in Bethesda, Md.

She spent her life here in Alaska attending school and later had a career with Tesoro, Northstore. After a brain aneurysm in 1993, Vicki worked part time as a waitress at a local cafe. She became very attached to her customers but the greatest joy in her life was her 3-year-old-granddaughter.

Her family remembers Vicki for her laughter, giving spirit, the size of a heart that cannot be measured and the intense love she had for her family and fellow human beings. She will be missed more than any words can convey.

Vicki Johnson-Batac was the beloved wife of Salvador Batac, loving mother of Donnie and Jamie Johnson; adoring grandmother to Malaya Batac-Igaya; treasured daughter to Judie Romero; loyal, giving and always jolly sister to Toni Johnson (Lavel), Marti Romero (David) and Haney Romero (Denise); special auntie to Alex Johnson, Vincent Romero and Mason Roberson; and dear friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Johnson Jr.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to help the family with expenses to Vicki's daughter's account, Jamie Johnson-Batac, at Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union. The account number is: 88202
