Wayne Hall of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away on Sept. 30, 2017, in Angeles City, Philippines, where he maintained a second home.
Wayne was born on June 22, 1953, in Pueblo, Colo., but grew up in Anchorage. His father, Dale Hall, taught Wayne how to operate heavy construction equipment as a young boy. Wayne became a skilled operator, which guaranteed a good job every spring in Alaska.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing with the family and was a member of a winning trapshooting team that competed across Alaska and at tournaments in Las Vegas, Nev. Golf became his favorite sport and for many years, Wayne left the winter snow in Alaska for sun in the Philippines, so he could play the year round.
Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Hall; and several family members. He is survived by his father of Deadwood, S.D,; son, Tommy and grandson, Tavin in Anchorage; brother, Byron with his wife Ingrid and nephew Dylan in Hawaii; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral plans are pending the arrival of Wayne's remains from the Philippines.
