William Thomas "Uqu'uq" Cameron Jr, 71, passed away on February 27, 2014, at home in Anchorage. A funeral service will be at 4 p.m. on March 12, 2014 with visitation at 3 p.m., at Legacy Witzleben Funeral Home located at 1707 S. Bragaw Street in Anchorage. Bishop Paskett will officiate. Pallbearers; Victor, Eddy, Carlie, Nicholia, Billy, Harry, William III, Victor Jr., Isaac, Moses, Peter and Robert.

William was born on January 28, 1943 to William Sr. and Mary, in San Marcos, Texas. He served as an Airman in the Airforce. He lived in Nunapitchuk from 1981-2000. He worked as a Villiage Police Officer in Bethel, Postmaster of Nunap, and as a Checker Cab driver. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

His family stated, "William was a happy, laughing, sad and mad person. He had especially welcoming arms to every person he met."

He was preceded in death by his parents, William T. Cameron Sr. and Mary Cameron, daughter,Tonia Olsen, Grandma Mary B., sister, Mary and his grandson, little Duwan Olsen.

He is survived by his wife, May Cameron; her parents who he lovingly called "Mom and Dad" Alexie and Natalia Berlin. His children, Diane and Nicholie Nick, William T. Cameron III, Beverly Barker, Laquenta Perkins, Dianea Fields, Victor Cameron Sr., William C. Cameron, Harry L. Cameron, April May Cameron, Donna Olympic, Hannah Edwards and Carlie Ashepak. He also leaves behind 72 grandchildren.

The family would like to give special thanks to Nancy Abruska for cooking, Hannah coming from Pilotstation, Isaac Berlin coming from Nunapitchuk, Dona Leen Olympic coming from Scamon Bay and the Doctors, Nurses, and Pinch P.D.
