Long time Anchorage resident William (Joe) Joseph Randle, 56, passed away February 11th, 2013. A service was held at Legacy Funeral Homes Bragaw Chapel on February 27th, 2013.

William was born December 7th, 1956 in Bellflower, California. After graduation from Bellflower High School in 1975, Joe entered the Military. He did tours of duty at several different Bases in the United States during his military career. After an honorable discharge with high honors in 1993, Joe moved to Anchorage, Alaska where he worked as a cook and an experienced roofer.
In his free time, he enjoyed relaxing at home, grilling out, and spending quality time with family and friends. Joe was also an advocate and supporter of AWAIC.
His family wrote, "Joe was a very loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He had many friends that cared about him and he will be missed tremendously by all the life's that he touched."
William is survived by his loving wife Beverly VanValkenburgh; his son Jason Reed, daughter in law Jennifer Reed, grandsons Brian and Nathan Reed of Anchorage; stepson Jason Echeverri, daughter in law Heidi Schroeder, grandson Jasiah Echeverri of Anchorage; stepdaughter Amanda Freeman, son in law Robert Freeman, his only granddaughter Michelle Freeman of Washington; brother in laws Gregg Baldwin, John Schurosky and sister in law Cynthia Schurosky all of Anchorage.
The family ask that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in Williams name to AWAIC at 100 W. 13th Ave. Anchorage AK.99501
Arrangements have been entrusted to Legacy Funeral Homes Bragaw Chapel.
