William Rodger Wuestenfeld, 89, of Columbus, Ind., formerly of Anchorage, Alaska, died at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
He was born on Aug. 13, 1922, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of William J. and Mabel Rickoff Wuestenfeld. He married Beulah "Boo" VanCamp on Nov. 17, 1944, in West Lafayette, Ind.
He was a chemical engineer with Exxon Oil. He attended Fairlawn Presbyterian Church and Four Seasons Chapel. He was a member of St. John's Lodge #20 and Baton Rouge Lodge #372, F. & A.M. Scottish Rite and Shrine, High Twelve Club, Columbus Area Model Railroad Club and Columbus Rotary.
He is survived by his wife; a son, William M. (Karen S.) Wuestenfeld of Anchorage; a daughter, Pamela J. (Michael) Sebrey of Anchorage; and grandchildren, Whayne Sebrey of Fort Wainwright, Alaska, Katherine (Clint Hammer) Wuestenfeld of Warner Robbins, Ga., and Matthew W. Wuestenfeld of Anchorage.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Marian Killam.
A private inurnment will be held at the Anchorage Memorial Cemetery on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017.
