Lifelong Alaskan "Wild Bill" passed peacefully in hunting camp with his son Jacob by his side. Bill enjoyed the company of his lifelong friends. He will be remembered for the many hunting and fishing trips they all shared. Bill especially loved the holidays with his family and Bill's larger than life personality will be especially missed during these times.
His loving parents, William Sr. and June Thompson; his aunt, Corda Ruth Stubblefield; and his beloved sister, Claudia Brault, preceded Bill in death.
His son, Jacob Roberts-Thompson of Anchorage, Alaska; sister, Elizabeth and husband Ray Hudson of Talkeetna, Alaska; sister, Bonnie Copher of Anchorage; sister, Corda Harrison Of Ariz.; and Margret and husband Billy Lewis of Anchorage, survive him.
Arrangements are with Witzleben Legacy Funeral Home, 1717 South Bragaw Street in Anchorage. Funeral service will be held on Oct. 5, 2017, at 3 p.m., with reception to follow at the home of his nephew, Andrew.
