Willonette "Willo" Jeanice Williamson, 95, passed away on May 20, 2016, at Alaska Regional Hospital. Willo was born on Nov. 2, 1920, in Lawrence County, S.D. She moved to Anchorage, Alaska, in 1961. She retired from the City of Anchorage payroll department. Willo enjoyed gardening, fishing and traveling with her husband. "A long time Alaskan, Willo was beautiful both inside and out. Her sun rose and set on Jack, her husband of 71 years, with whom she shared may happy memories throughout the years at their cabin on the Kenai River. Supportive and encouraging, together they epitomized parenthood by caring for and visiting their late son, Alan Jack Williamson's bedside tirelessly for the duration of his 30 year illness. She was an adoring mother and grandmother who never met a child she did not love. Our family will be forever thankful that we were able to hold her close for so many wonderful and fulfilling years. We will miss her so." Willo is survived by her husband of 71 years, Asher "Jack" Williamson; brother, Dale (Jenny) Hall of Lead, S.D.; sisters Sharon Rantapaa of Lead and Tacy (Marshall) Carr of Florence, Ariz.; children, Janis G. Williamson, Kim A. (Rodney W.) Vitt and Julie A. (John R.) Staser; daughter-in-law, Sharon Williamson; grandchildren, Alan "Jack" (Cory) Williamson, Joanna L. Williamson, Tyler K.
