Wilma Ruth Haynes born Dec. 28, 1940 in Harden County, Ill.; she passed away on Sept. 12, 2017 in Spokane, Wash.
Preceded in death by her dear husband, Ray Burden; ex-husband, Burt Haynes; and parents, Wilda and Clifford Denton.
She is survived by brother, Jim and Karen Denton; son, Greg and Kim Haynes; daughter, Debra Haynes and John Brown; and beloved grandchildren, Cory, Jamie, Ayla, Leisl, Jessica, and Conner; great-grandson, Beniah Cripps.
Wilma had a passion for life and loved helping others. She adored spending time with family and close friends. We will miss her more than we could have ever imagined.
An informal gathering was held on Sept. 20, 2017, at her home; friends shared memories about Wilma's caring and loving nature.
A formal celebration will occur in the spring. She lived in Spain, Texas, Alaska, Ariz., Calif., and Wash. She had a passion for traveling with friends and family. We trust she continues to venture!
Wilma is loved and missed by all those whose lives she touched. She gave herself unselfishly; we lost her way too early. Donations can be made to the or the Southern Poverty Law Center.
