Frank Eddie Dennis, 81, passed away on February 10, 2014 at Lakeview Assisted Living in Anchorage, Alaska. A viewing will be held at 1 p.m. with service at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Alaska Native Heritage Center located at 8800 Heritage Center Drive in Anchorage. Services will be officiated by J.R. Blackshear. A potluck will follow the service at Alaska Native Heritage Center. Funeral and burial will take place at a later date in Haines, Alaska. Pallbearers; David Dennis, Karl Hart, Timothy Hart, Donovan Fairbanks, Charles Patterson, Darren Arrow. Honorary pallbearers; Raymond T. Dennis Jr., Jacob Dennis, Christopher David, Stan Wilson, Paul Kelly Wilson, Duane B. Wilson, Daniel H. Patterson, Robert L. Patterson, Si Dennis Jr., and Francis D. Dennis II.

Frank was born on February 10, 1933 in Skagway, Alaska to Leo and Louise. He lived in Nome, Juneau, Haines, Sitka, and Anchorage. Frank was involved with the Alaska Native Brotherhood, Tlingit and Haida and Alaska Federation of Natives. He also was involved with the Presbyterian Church. He had a love for God and his word, as well as politics.
He enjoyed the sport of boxing, and spending time with his grandchildren, hiking, hunting, and played the drums when he was younger. He participated in the Cook Inlet Elders Program. He always had a smile for everyone he met. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by brothers, Bill Andrews, Raymond T. Dennis Sr., sister, Kathryn Dennis, daughter Karen Fairbanks, son, David Dennis, grandchildren; Karl and Timothy Hart, Tyra and Chloe Dennis, and Aliyah and Kaylee Fairbanks; and numerous nieces nephews and friends.. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Louise Dennis, sister, Elsie Atchely, brothers, Charles Dennis, Allen Dennis, and grandson, Zachary Dennis.
