Lifelong Alaska resident, Eugenia Calugan, 78, passed away from natural causes June 14, 2014, at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. She was born December 7, 1935, in Perryville, AK.

A visitation will be held June 24, 2014, 11-12 p.m., at Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street. A funeral service will follow immediately after. Eugenia will be laid to rest at the Anchorage Memorial Park Cemtery at 1:30 p.m. Immediately following the burial, a potluck will be held at 1001 Boniface Parkway Space 22N. Officiating the service will be Roger Holmberg. Pallbearers consist of Jake, Stewart, Dartanian, Eric, and Thomas.
Eugenia was a Healthaide for Ivanof Bay. She enjoyed berry-picking, spending time with grandkids, and baking.
Eugenia is survived by her daughter, Vera Pollock; sons, Ronald, Alex, and Peter Calugan; granddaughters Deborah (Stewart) Valladolid, Deliah Enright, Francine (Thomas) Sledge, Krystal Calugan, and Eugenia Louise Calugan; grandsons Dartanian Chavira, Jacob Pollock, Eric (Melinda) Smith, Ronald Jr. Calugan, and Anthony Calugan; great-grandchildren Adrianna Nederbrock, Brianna Nederbrock, Dominique Nederbrock, Tye Dull, Stewart (Stewy) Valladolid, Stephan Valladolid, Vincent Valladolid, Kaitlyne Calugan, Keirsten Calugan, Lori Calugan, Jessica Calugan, Amanda Calugan, Tyson Lyon, Kayla Smith, and Lindsey Smith.
She is preceded in death by her spouse, Alexander Calugan; daughter-in-law, Connie Calugan; and sister, Martha Kosbruk.
